Why Choose Rodin Clinic?

Why choose Rodin clinic?

Patients seeking plastic surgery can feel overwhelmed by the number of choices they have when trying to choose where to go for a plastic surgery procedure. Often, there are clinics that advertise heavily, be it on the radio, social media or in local newspapers to promote their brand. These clinics may not be staffed with a recognized plastic surgeon – instead having doctors who have minimal surgical experience and no formal training. They will often have very impressive websites, giving the general public false confidence about their legitimacy.

A recognized plastic surgeon, is one who has the letters FRACS after their name, which stands for ‘Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons’. This is the surgical qualification which demonstrates that they are a specialist with AHPRA and have had the appropriate training to not only undertake plastic surgery operations but can also manage the potential complications. Choosing a surgeon who has the FRACS qualification is the first step in deciding who to see for a consultation.

Rodin clinic has three specialist consultant plastic surgeons, who all hold the FRACS qualification – Dr Robert Choa, Dr Matt Jones and Dr Sandeep B. All patients who come to Rodin clinic can be reassured that any surgical care provided to them is delivered by a highly experienced and well-trained plastic surgeon.

Dr Robert Choa specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face and body, particularly eyelid surgery, facelifts, all types of aesthetic breast surgery, and body contouring – often after pregnancy or weight loss. He undertook a specific cosmetic surgery fellowship in the world-renowned London clinic in central London, learning from and operating with highly respected and senior plastic surgeons.

Dr Matt Jones has a specific interest in rhinoplasty (nose) surgery. The nose is the central feature of our faces and combines both a functional role and also an aesthetic role. Understanding how these interact is critical to achieving a nose that not only looks good but also works well. Dr Matt Jones has undertaken specific rhinoplasty fellowships and frequently visits experts in this field to refine his technique to deliver the most innovative and precise nose surgery techniques to his patients.

Dr Sandeep B is a gifted reconstructive microsurgeon, who presents at international meetings on the numerous successful outcomes he has achieved in reconstructing patients with complex problems. This ranges from head and neck cancers to brachial plexus injuries and limb reconstruction. In addition, Sandeep is well versed in cosmetic procedures to the face and body.

Rodin clinic is considered a boutique plastic surgery practice. It is a chic and stylish environment that quickly makes potential patients feel at ease. We have recently undergone a full renovation, maintaining both a contemporary but also professional feel. Being a small practice means that patients aren’t just treated as a number, we have a genuine connection with every one of our patients, helping them through their journey from initial consultation to the final outcome after a treatment.

Choosing a plastic surgery practice can often come down to word of mouth from previous patients or reviews of the clinic. We pride ourselves on our impartial Google reviews which we have no influence over. Furthermore, we receive many referrals who have been recommended to us from former patients.

Rodin clinic is situated in Hollywood Medical central, linked to Hollywood Private Hospital – the largest private health campus in Australia. This has ED and ICU facilities which provides a level of reassurance to our patients in case a higher level of care is required. In addition, all our surgeons are consultants in the public system with admitting rights in major tertiary hospital in the Metro region.

We also offer a range of non-surgical treatments, delivered by our experienced practice nurse Portia Boaro, who has over 10 years in the aesthetic industry. She has a loyal clientele who come back time and time again.
